Matsuura Open Day

Matsuura UK will introduce its MX-520 machining centre to the UK during Open Days at its Leicestershire facility on the 16-17 November 2010.
The MX-520 has a 300 mm diameter table as standard, with a 500 mm option available. It is able to handle components weighing up to 150 kg, with billet diameter up to 520 mm and 350 mm high. Standard spindle speed will be 12,000 rpm and axis travels in X, Y, Z of 630 by 560 by 510 mm. This series of Matsuura 5-axis machines are hand built its main plant in Fukui, Japan.
The Open Days will have MX-520 cutting demonstrations as well as Matsuura applications engineers on hand to answer questions and technical enquiries.
Prior to the launch, Matsuura UK has taken its first order for an MX-520 from KL Giddings – an established long term user of Matsuura machine tools. The machining centre is targeted at companies making the switch from 3 to 5-axis machining, a transition that Matsuura UK has lots of experience of.
Also on show will be products from across the Matsuura range of 5-axis, horizontal, vertical and the CUBLEX multi-tasking machines.
Lunch and refreshments will be served on both days.
