Interplas 2011, the International Forum for the British Plastics Industry, will take place at the NEC, Birmingham on 27-29 September 2011.
Interplas is the UK's leading triennial plastics exhibition. For almost 60 years Interplas has represented the plastic processing community in the UK. The show floor will incorporate the full spectrum of plastics manufacturing equipment and services from design through manufacture to post-processing, parts handling and packaging.
Exhibits include: injection moulding, extrusion lines, thermoforming, materials handling, materials suppliers, printing and decorating, recycling, parts handling, finishing and robotics equipment, plastics design aids, contract moulding facilities, tooling materials and manufacture, measurement, QA & QC equipment, and consultants and training services.
Interplas will host many new initiatives aimed at promoting the British plastics expertise, stimulating both imports and exports. At the heart of the show is the 'British Centre of Excellence' pavilion that will showcase some of the finest products moulded or extruded in the UK.
Interplas 2011 will also have a key focus on Education with multiple seminar theatres focused on the key issues affecting plastics manufacturers today. These seminars are free of charge to attend and cover topics such as: SME Business Logistics & Management; Environmental Legislations; Industry focused sessions on Medical, Automotive, Food Packaging and Building Sectors. New for 2011 is the introduction of the Plastic Design Intelligence Seminar (PDI), which is designed to maximise productivity for design engineers. This seminar is supported and chaired by the The Institute of Materials (IOM3) and the SPE.
