Citizen Open House set to unveil two new machines

Two new machines, one each from the Citizen CNC sliding-head and Miyano stables, are due for UK launch at the Citizen Machinery UK Open House to be staged between 9 and 11 October at the headquarters in Bushey, Watford.

Also being released at the event, which will feature some 10 representative machines from the Citizen, Miyano and Ocean Cincom ranges (with capacities from 1 to 64 mm bar size) and supporting suppliers from industry, is the latest generation Wizard 2012 programming assist software created for world markets by the specialist development team at Bushey. The new launch machines comprise the 32 mm capacity version of the Evolution A-Series non-guide bush A32-VllCL and the Miyano LZ, a fully integrated production turning centre with self-load and unload that is available with or without the added flexibility of Y-axis cross feed to the turret. The Citizen A32-V11CL has many of the features and benefits of the normal 32 mm bar capacity guide bush version, but provides the added advantages on shorter workpiece production by reducing the length of the bar remnant. As a result, more parts are able to be produced per bar length while maintaining exceptional dimensional accuracy and concentricity. The Miyano LZ series, based on an 8 inch chuck capacity with 54 mm or 50 mm collet sizes, incorporates a novel X-axis cross feed and Z-axis forward stroke of the spindle, which operates simultaneously with the integrated double-gripper load/unload units to create a fast, fully automatic operational cycle. During the Open House, which will welcome visitors between 08-30 and 5 pm each day and with the addition of a Curry Evening from 6 pm on Wednesday 10 October, there are also supporting suppliers drawn from industry. These include: BTMA; CSJ; Delcam UK (Partmaker); Floyd Automatic Tooling; Hainbuch UK; IEMCA; Iscar Tools; Sandvik Coromant; Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal; Wieland-Werke (UK).
