Haas UMC-1000 now available with 8-station pallet pool

Customers can now add a pallet-pool to the recently introduced Haas UMC-1000 universal machining centre, which is suitable for shops wanting an easy-to-use 5-axis solution for larger parts. Offering the same performance as the company’s UMC-750, the UMC-1000 provides larger travels and a bigger platter. With the availability of eight additional pallets, users can implement lights-out operations.

Featuring an 8,100 rpm spindle and 30+1 side-mount tool changer, further standard features of the Haas UMC-1000 include the company’s WIPS (Wireless Intuitive Probing System) and rotary-axis calibration tool. Also included in the package is a 200 litre coolant tank. Rotary scales and a top cover with mist extraction provision are among the available options.

The Haas 8-station pallet pool is suitable for high-volume production runs, or high-mix/low-volume machining. Pallets can be scheduled individually according to priority and sequencing requirements, allowing high-priority parts to be machined first or staged more often. Completed pallets are returned automatically to the holding location, or can be sequenced to a protected operator station for immediate unloading and re-loading.
