WNT UK and XYZ host fifth customer trackday

The fifth year of the WNT (UK) and XYZ Machine Tools customer motorcycle trackday at Lincolnshire’s Cadwell Park circuit has taken place.

The event has gone from strength to strength and now spreads over two days with customers arriving the day before the trackday to network, take part in the informative track walk and enjoy food and drink.

Says WNT’s Tony Pennington: “The evening before is becoming ever more popular, which is great. The fish and chip shop worked hard to deliver 95 portions, the sun shone and those that walked the circuit got some valuable pointers from the professional instructors, led by Team WNT/Burman Racing’s very own Sam Burman, ahead of the day of hard riding that was to follow.”

The following morning, the near 100 participants were split into three groups (depending on ability) and headed out on track.

During the lunchtime break participants were also treated to a fast, tyre screeching, lap in the circuit’s BMW M-sport safety car.

Says WNT (UK)’s Dan Atkinson: “This is a great opportunity for customers to get together and network, as well as being one of the major events on the WNT calendar, where we continue to raise significant amounts for our chosen charities the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.”

Adds XYZ Machine Tools’ applications manager Mike Corbett: “This event is fantastic in bringing people with similar attitudes together and many new friendships are developed during the day. I would also like to thank the efforts of the instructors who provided their time and knowledge, which I know is welcomed by all concerned.”
