Pryor Marking enjoys 40% growth in three years

Pryor Marking Technology has celebrated a busy and successful 2018 that contributed to the company achieving 40% growth over the past three years. The growth has been attributed in the main to global expansion and new products.

Global activity has seen the industrial marking specialist focus on key markets in recent years. For instance, a US subsidiary was established in October 2016, while French subsidiary Mecagrav Industrie became a full member of the Pryor family.

Newly developed products also prompted growth during 2018. The biggest growth area has been laser marking, where the company introduced electronic controllers enabling features such as ‘on the fly’ high-speed marking and touchscreen control. In addition, a handheld laser marking product, developed to support one of Pryor’s charity initiatives with the British Heart Foundation, has opened up a new market segment for the company.

Alastair Morris, sales director for Pryor, says: “We’ve enjoyed huge sales growth in new markets, which can mostly be accredited to our tailored turnkey solutions for integration into production lines.”
