ACI (UK) reports higher sales across all its products ranges for the first nine months of this year compared to 2005.

The measurement and control specialist ACI (UK) has recorded impressive increases in sales volumes for its range of Acu-Rite, Anilam and Metronics Quadra-Chek DRO and CNC systems. Overall during Q3, sales rose 15 per cent – with the larger increases being recorded by Metronics Quadra-Chek DROs, up 62 per cent (compared with Q3 2005), Anilam CNCs up by 35 per cent, Anilam DROs up by 25 per cent and Acu-Rite MillPwr CNC up by 15 per cent. ACI (UK) managing director Phil Goulding cites market confidence combined with focused distribution channels and cost-competitive quality products – including several new lines – as the main reasons for the upturn. “In addition,” he says, “while an increasing number of users are buying new rather than repairing very old equipment, CNC upgrades and retrofits, of suitable machines, still account for 25 per cent of our CNC sales. Order input for Q4 has risen by 41 per cent compared with last year.
