A leading UK designer and manufacturer of press feed and coil equipment, Atkin Automation has supplied a twin-strip press feed line, which will effectively double the customer’s production capacity for one of its main product lines. Instead of one, the new line enables two strips of steel to be processed at once, while also allowing multiple coils to be loaded onto one mandrel to further improve efficiency by reducing changeover times.
Based in Wakefield, Atkin Automation also installed and commissioned the new line, which was pre-tested at its Wakefield facility prior to release.
