WNT designs Centro P OZ collet chucks to deliver power and precision
WNT has extended its Centro P range of precision collet chucks with Centro P OZ high performance chucks and collets which will enable users to maximise the productivity of solid carbide and HSS milling cutters.
WNT Centro P OZ collet chucks have a runout accuracy of 3 micron and allow users of cutters with shank diameters between 16 and 25 mm diameter to fully utilise their metalcutting capacity. They are available in a range of styles including MAS-BT, DIN and HSK-A, the latter providing additional cutter stability due to its reduced gauge length.
The original Centro P system's 80 bar internal coolant supply pressure has been increased to 150 bar in the Centro P OZ for more efficient removal of swarf from the cutting area.
Although targeting larger diameter cutters, the collet range extends down to shank sizes of 3 mm diameter, with each chuck being balanced to G 2,5 at 25,000 rpm and U = 1 gmm. This supports much higher levels of surface finish and reduced tool wear.
