Victor VCenter-AX800 5-axis machining centre unveiled

Victor CNC’s VCenter-AX800 5-axis vertical machining centre incorporates a swivelling head B-axis and a C-axis rotary table, and is able to machine parts measuring up to 1 m in diameter.

The 800 mm diameter table of the C-axis is clamped at high torque (3,433 Nm), while the B-axis swivelling head on the travelling column includes a hirth coupling with 1° increments to deliver 4+1 axis machining capability. Furthermore, the machine features a Rollercam-drive mechanism for both rotary axes that, according to Victor, is more suited to heavy machining with high rotation compared to machines featuring a conventional worm gear mechanism.

The VCenter-AX800 has a BBT-40 taper spindle that is fed by a 40-tool twin-arm ATC (60-tool option). It has a 15,000 rpm spindle that delivers an output of 22 kW.

Control options include the Fanuc 0i, 32i or 31i, or the Heidenhain TNC620 or 640.
