Turbex entry-level cleaning machine

The Mafac Pico aqueous spray washing machine offers effective, automated batch cleaning in a footprint of a little over one square metre - ideal for manufacturers that may have limited funds or restricted floor space and perhaps currently wash their industrial components by hand.

Not only is the machine compact, but the hinged door at the front also doubles as a loading and unloading platform to minimise the area around the machine needed for operation. The German-built machine is constructed with extensive use of stainless steel, offering good reliability and process repeatability for both washing and drying. A rotating basket and fixed spray arm deliver consistent component cleaning, after which a pulsing blast of heated, compressed air optimises drying. Programmable control allows a variety of automatic sequences to be entered to suit the components being cleaned. Load capacity is 70 kg and the speed of rotation of the Euro standard basket can be preset. If integral steam extraction with condensing is fitted, there is no need to install extraction ducting to the atmosphere. There is a standard removable filter tray that collects swarf and other large particles trapped during the return flow. In-line fine filtration of particles down to 50 µm is optional. A tilting suction unit can be supplied to separate waste oil from the water in the thermally insulated wash tank, which has a 315 litre capacity to allow extended life of the cleaning liquid. Availability in the UK is through the sole sales and service agent, Turbex, Alton, Hampshire.
