Surtech launches Siegmund Professional Extreme welding tables

The Professional Extreme welding table is described as a "good-looking and indestructible bench that will last over half a century". By using pre-hardened steel and plasma nitration processing of the surface, the table becomes durable to scratches, rust and welding spatter adhesion. According to Surtech, the Professional Extreme table has proven its extremely hard surface in a series of extraordinary endurance tests. It overcame the impact of a car being dropped on it from a height of 8 m, was buried under 45 tonnes of gravel, soaked with saltwater for two weeks, and then endured a controlled explosion. After all these tests, the table was still completely intact apart from some minor colour changes, says Surtech.
