SER compliant sealed solvent vapour degreasing machines

Fraser Technologies has developed a range of economically priced, sealed solvent vapour degreasing machines under the V-max brand name to replace the use of traditional open-tank solvent degreasers in medium- to small-scale production units. V-max sealed machines are fully compliant with the Solvent Emission Regulations (SER), introduced last year, or with latest health and safety legislation. The V-max range has been designed for use with the new Vertrel degreasing and cleaning chemicals from DuPont. Simple in design, yet exceptionally efficient in operation, the machines clean light to heavy engineering soils effectively – including neat cutting oil, particulates, general shop dirt, electronic flux residues – in a single-chamber sealed system. The V-max process cycle involves three stages: immersion cleaning, pure solvent rinse and drying. There are nine pre-defined, selectable programmes with throughput up to 12 baskets per hour. The process cycle is fully automated, apart from manual loading and unloading of parts baskets, to ensure dependable process repeatability. The range comprises three standard models – accommodating parts basket sizes of 450 by 250 by 300 mm deep, 800 by 350 by 350 mm deep and 1,200 by 500 by 500 mm deep, respectively.
