Seco Tools expands Crownloc Plus exchangeable tip drill range to include 8XD option
Seco Tools (UK) has expanded its range of Crownloc Plus exchangeable-tip drills to include 8XD options
Crownloc Plus drills incorporate an exchangeable-tip system that eliminates the need to replace the complete tool when the cutting edge becomes worn. Instead, a Crownloc Plus wrench is used to remove and replace the worn tip when required. A secure locking interface maintains stability and enables the replacement process to be completed quickly, says Seco.
The replaceable tip system helps users minimise tooling inventory. The design of Crownloc Plus drill bodies, which feature deep and wide flutes, ensure good chip evacuation and long tool life, while the cutting head tips have optimised geometries and TiAIN coatings for improved performance and wear resistance.
Crownloc Plus drills are available in 12 to 19.99 mm diameters, and in 3XD and 5XD options as well as the 8XD.
