Seco Jabro-Solid2 JS564 and JS565 end-mills for roughing operations on materials that include steels, stainless steels and titanium alloys

The Seco Jabro-Solid2 JS564 and JS565 solid carbide end-mills have been developed specifically for roughing operations on materials that include steels, stainless steels and titanium alloys. According to Seco, the cutters provide 20% longer tool life than their predecessors, due to a number of features that include stable tapered cores and polished NXT coatings.

JS564 and JS565 provide high radial, engagement without the need to compromise the use of high feeds and speeds. Furthermore, positive front teeth geometries on both cutter ranges make them suitable for axial and helical interpolation operations.

Another benefit is that newly-developed chip splitter options create small chips when using long cutting lengths, aiding chip evacuation.

JS564 and JS565 are available in four- and five-flute designs in a range of cutting diameters and lengths. For both ranges, cylindrical shank diameters are available from 3 to 20 mm, with Weldon shank diameters available from 6 to 20 mm.
