Mazak Vertical Centre Smart 530C machining centre fit for larger workpieces

Yamazaki Mazak's Smart 530C, specifically designed for those working with larger workpieces, is a variation of its existing Smart vertical machining centre.

The Mazak Smart 530C is a small footprint, compact machine equipped to provide a larger working envelope than the 430A. The enlarged envelope, accessible via large double entry doors, accommodates a significantly increased range of movement in both the X (1,050 mm) and Y (530 mm) axes. The Smart 530C's accuracy and repeatability are supported by the FMEA designed C-frame structure combined with the latest roller linear guideway system for static and dynamic rigidity. Productivity is enhanced by rapid traverse rates of 42 m/min and a high speed tool change time of 2.8 sec, along with the Mazatrol Smart control which facilitates efficient programming of simple or complex parts. The latest generation of Mazak spindle design incorporates ceramic hybrid bearing technology for increased flexibility by providing rigidity while delivering 12,000 rpm, 18.5 kW and 95.5 Nm torque. The Mazak Vertical Centre Smart 530C's ergonomic features include large windows and a machine operator adjustable control panel. In addition, the machine is equipped with a number of environmentally friendly options including automatic chip conveyor, personnel sensor and LED lighting in the work zone to provide enhanced visibility, improved reliability and reduced power consumption.
