Low cost lathe is well spec'd

The CTX510 ECO is the largest in Gildemeister's ECOLINE Series of lathes.

Available from DMG (UK) of Luton, the universal slant bed lathe has a 250 mm chuck diameter, 465 mm maximum turning diameter by 1,050 mm turning length, a 33 kW spindle and 12-station turret. It can be fitted with either Fanuc Oi-TC control with Manual Guide i – simple programming and 3D simulation or the Siemens 810D control with ShopTurn software both displayed on a 15 inch TFT screen. Although an ECO specification, this latest 2-axis lathe has a 40 VDI turret and automatic traverse tailstock, while the 33 kW high dynamic drive spindle develops some 420 Nm of torque with a maximum speed of 3,250 rpm. As an option, six driven tools are available, with C-axis positioning available on the V3 version, while there's a bar package able to accept material up to 76 mm diameter and work piece pick-up device. There is also a preset package, featuring touch probe, and a chip disposal package available.
