ITC launches Widia VariMill II 5777 end-mills

Extending its line of solid carbide end-mills, Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC) has introduced the Widia VariMill II 5777 series. According to ITC, the end-mills are suitable for both rough and finish machining of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high temperature alloys, non-ferrous materials and hard materials.

The 5777 series is a 5-fluted cutter manufactured from a micro-fine carbide grain. It has an unequal flute spacing that is said to reduce chatter in operations that include slotting, ramping and helical milling. The VariMill II 5777 series is available in diameters from 4 to 25 mm with shank diameters from 6 to 25 mm. The range offers an overall length from 55 to 121 mm and a length of cut from 11 to 45 mm depending upon the diameter selected. The series is also offered with an AlTiN coating and a corner radius from 0.25 to 0.75 mm.
