Hypertherm launches HyPrecision Waterjet line
Hypertherm has introduced HyPrecision Waterjet, a complete line of waterjet products that includes pumps ranging from 15 to 150 hp, precision cutting heads and abrasive delivery equipment. The announcement is the result of Hypertherm's recent acquisition of AccuStream.
According to Hypertherm, the systems feature advanced intensifier technology to reduce maintenance and maximise performance. Hypertherm estimates that the total cost of ownership for a HyPrecision system is up to 20% less than competitive systems.
Examples of the practical engineering found only in HyPrecision waterjet pumps are said to include optimised plunger length and diameter, combined with long bearing engagement for better alignment. This results in maximum component life with minimum pressure fluctuation and placement of hydraulic rod seals and plunger bearings outside the hydraulic end cap for easier access and servicing, says Hypertherm.
