Hexagon launches latest Romer Absolute Arm

Hexagon Metrology has introduced the latest generation of portable measuring arm, creating what it describes as the "best Romer Absolute Arm ever".

This portable measuring arm is now more user-friendly than before thanks to a newly developed wrist design that improves handling and provides immediate acoustic and haptic feedback, says Hexagon. According to the company, a modified counterbalance also improves the movement of the arm when it is in use, enhancing user experience. A large range of touch probes, non-contact probes and laser scanners are available, allowing customers to use the best solution for their measurement needs. A repeatable probe mounting means that users can swap probes as they work without any fussy calibrations. For scanning applications the ROMER Absolute Arm is available with an integrated laser scanner or, for the most challenging scanning jobs, the CMS108 external laser scanner.
