HCR 1325 supersedes the previous HCF1325, CWN27 and CWX25 grades and can be used in wet or dry applications. It features several layers of aluminium oxide, each with a thickness of between 500 to 700 nm, combined with TiCNB. These layers sit on top of a TiCN PVD coating layer which protects the carbide substrate.
The HCR insert groupings are: GX double edged inserts for parting, grooving and groove-turning; SX single ended insert for grooving, parting and copy turning; single edge FX inserts for fine machining and high speed machining; and LX single edge insert style for extreme cutting applications.
