FANUC has an extensive product series spanning some 100 models. While this range covers the majority of applications, there are instances where users need to extend the working range of a robot, as is the case in certain arc welding applications.
Güdel, a specialist in linear motion and gantry robot systems, has configured the special ArcTrack TrackMotion slide to provide a flexible robotic welding package for Arc Mate robots. ArcTrack is available in lengths from 3 to 30 m, and can be extended at a later date if required. Speed capability is up to 120 m/min.
The unit incorporates all of the features required for easy robot and welding system integration, such as a standard platform for power supplies and quick cable connections. ArcTrack is said to be highly resistant to dirt and dust. The product can be used with four different models of Arc Mate robot and is supplied directly via FANUC, as a package together with the robot, fully configured and ready for use.
