ChaseQuad Plus inserts for face and shoulder milling have eight economical cutting edges available in either wiper flat, chamfer or corner radius to accommodate an extensive range of applications. A high positive insert geometry and dimple chip breaker lower the cutting forces and temperature when machining at high feeds and speeds. With an 88 and 90 degree entry angle, the fine pitch cutter gives an exceptional metal removal rate with its high feed capability. Suited to general face machining and automotive applications, the new ChaseQuad Plus is available with five coated insert grades to maximise the application range. Available with TaeguTec’s TT7080 and TT9080 grades the cutters are suitable for steel, alloy steels, high temperature alloys and cast iron machining. The combination of the entry angle and the TiAln/TiN Nano coating delivers toughness with exceptional chipping and wear resistance that prolongs tool life considerably. For automotive applications, the ChaseQuad Plus is available with TaeguTec’s TT6030 and TT6290 insert grades. The PVD coated TT6030 and the CVD+PVD double coated grade is ideal for high speed and high feed machining applications on general cast iron and grey cast iron respectively.
