Dugard introduces value for money E range vertical machining centres

Dugard's ECO range successor, the five-model E range, sets out to provide value for money, heavy cast iron construction vertical machining centres. Bed sizes range from 760 up to 2,000 mm and price tags for the smallest and largest of the machines are from £34,900 and from £96,500.

The bottom of the range 2,100 by 1,935 mm footprint Dugard 760E has a 660 kg capacity 910 by 380 mm table and XYZ traverses are 762 by 430 by 460 mm respectively. Spindle nose line to table surface is 75 to 535 mm. The BT40 (CAT flange option) spindle is powered by an 11 kW Fanuc motor offering 20 to 11,000 rpm. Rapid traverse in X and Y is 36 m/min and 30 m/min in Z. The top of the range 2000E has a 4,000 kg capacity 2,150 by 800 mm table, with 100 to 915 mm spindle nose line to table surface. XYZ axis travels are 2,060, 850 and 850 mm respectively. The BT40 (CAT flange option) 15 kW Fanuc powered spindle provides 20 to 10,000 rpm. Rapids are 30 m/m in X and Y and 25 m/min in Z. All E range models feature a hydraulic counter-balanced head, swarf auger and twin arm automatic toolchanger as standard. The larger models also have spindle refrigeration. A choice of Fanuc, Siemens or Mitsubishi controls is offered.
