The E 160 with Easy Cycle control is a cycle-controlled lathe. CNC know-how is not required; programming is carried out via a user guide and graphic workpiece simulation.
The Emcomat E160 with easy Cycle has height above centres of up to 160 mm and a distance between centres of up to 1000 mm. It is suited very well for small-scale and industrial production of single parts as well as for model construction and mould making, although small series production can also be carried out efficiently with the E 160.
The Easy Cycle control offers three operating modes: manual; teach-in mode; and the program sequence.
During manual operation, the slide can be moved manually via an intermediate switch or with electronic handwheels. Entry and processing of cycles is supported graphically in parallel with manual machine operation.
During teach-in mode, operating cycles can be arranged in sequence. A graphic simulation of the sequence is carried out directly after data entry. The cycles are processed immediately after entry or can be stored and recalled.
Program sequence allows cycles or DIN programs to be executed in single sequence, while both in-built cycles and DIN programming may be mixed to deliver a complete, single sequence.
