Cooler nozzles for plasma cutting machines cut costs too

Owners of Kjellberg’s FineFocus 800 and 900 plasma cutting systems as well as its PA-S70 and PA-S75 products can now purchase nozzles that will last twice as long as current Kjellberg nozzles using Centicut’s CoolFlow and SilverLine technologies CoolFlow technology was developed using advanced modeling software. This enabled engineers to closely study heat distribution within the nozzle as well as the cooling process. A nozzle was then designed that would funnel the cooling fluid to the hottest areas of the nozzle. Because the nozzle stays cooler, says Hypertherm, and it lasts twice as long as a Kjellberg nozzle. CoolFlow technology is combined with Centricut’s patented SilverLine electrode technology to further increase nozzle life and reduce operating costs. SilverLine electrodes use a combination of silver and copper to increase electrode life.
