ChaseFeed range expanded with double-sided insert tools

ChaseFeed is an extension to the already successful ChaseFeed range of cutting tools. The new range of inserts is double-sided to maximise machine efficiency and reduce cutting tool costs. The ChaseFeed Plus is a six-sided insert that is designated for operation at ultra-high-feed machining. Capable of comfortably cutting at 4.5 mm/tooth with a 2 mm depth of cut, the new cutter is available with the new TT9080, TT8030 and TT7080 insert grades. The cutter has a revolutionary clamping structure that delivers a stable and consistent performance when conducting high feed milling and deep pocket machining. Specifically designed for cavity and high feed machining, the ChaseFeed Plus is available as an end mill or face milling cutter. The new cutter is well suited to machining carbon steel, pre-hardened steel, stainless steel, gray cast iron and ductile cast iron. When used on carbon steel, tool life is improved by 50 per cent in comparison to previous products. On alloy tool steel, productivity is boosted by 140 per cent through increased tool life and reduced cycle times.
