Zoller UK Open House to demonstrate presetter benefits

Zoller UK will stage a series of demonstration days between 11 and 13 June at its Derby facility, highlighting the benefits of tool presetting and management software, the advantages heat-shrink tool holding technology and an in-depth presentation on high accuracy tool measurement.
Explains managing director Andrew Fulton: "There are not too many avenues open to improve machining times and efficiency. However, the latest developments in tool presetting, management and measurement can provide valuable savings, eliminating downtime and improving spindle utilisation of a machine, as well as operational lead time by bringing the whole tooling operation of the business under control."
The Zoller presetting and measuring range of machines includes variants to cover a wide range of applications for inspection, grinding and re-sharpening tools. It also covers the measurement and presetting of turning and milling tooling and combination heat-shrink assembly and measurement. In addition, Zoller's TMS tool management bridges the gap between CAM, warehouse/tool store management, presetting and measurement of tools right through to data transfer to machine tools.
Over the three days, visitors will have an exclusive opportunity to discuss the merits of 'total tool control' and see demonstrations on the latest generation Zoller Venturion premium class presetter and measuring machine, and the Smile universal presetter and measuring machine. Also, the Redomatic and Tribos presetting, measuring and heat-shrink machines - able to shrink tools to at least + 10 microns within 5 secs - will be shown alongside the Genius 3, a universal tool measuring machine.
The event is to be staged at Zoller UK's modern showroom facility at Faraday House, Woodyard Lane, Foston, Derbyshire.
