WNT (UK) will hold an Open House at its Sheffield technical centre, 8 am-3 pm from 3-4 December.

Visitors will see first-hand the performance of WNT's latest high feed indexable milling system, the MCR solid carbide cutters designed for Vortex and trochoidal milling strategies cutters as well as the MNG Zero Point workholding system. WNT tooling will be displayed on XYZ machining centres. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take away a solid carbide milling cutter of any diameter to test on their own machines. In addition, anyone registering for the event and placing an order of £150 or more, on either of the days, will also receive a Mitutoyo digital vernier caliper. Visitors can enter a raffle for the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research to win an ex-demo Empire MX6 mountain bike manufactured using WNT tooling worth £4,000. For petrolheads, WNT-sponsored driver Steve Hoult and his F2 powerboat will be in attendance, as will Sam Burman with her WNT Burman Racing Moto3 motorcycle, on which she competes in the The Motul Motostar British Championship. To register, contact WNT (UK) on 0800 073 2073 or e-mail tony.pennington@wnt.com, specifying the intended day of attendance. "These days provide a great opportunity for customers to discuss specific metalcutting issues that they may have. Technical engineers from WNT (UK) and XYZ Machine Tools are on-hand to provide experienced advice on the best way to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs," says Tony Pennington, managing director, WNT (UK).
