CADCAM software specialist Vero Software was placed 28th in the fifth annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 league table, with this the company's first appearance in the ranking.

Published at the weekend, the report names Vero Software as the South West region's highest-ranked company. A string of acquisitions helped overseas sales climb 80% per annum to £58.5 million in 2013. Ian Stuart, head of HSBC UK commercial banking, said: "The Sunday Times International Track 200 continues to provide an interesting insight into the important contribution that privately-owned mid-market companies make to the UK economy, and this year's league table symbolises the dynamism and innovation this group of companies with international ambitions are famed for." Vero Software general manager Richard Youhill says: "It is great to be recognised in the Sunday Times for the achievements we have had expanding our business overseas. This also comes on the heels of our second Queen's Awards for Enterprise for international trade. We have been involved with international markets right from the outset when we were established in 1988. The company has grown to employ over 560 staff and is located throughout the world, although, obviously, our feet and roots are here in Gloucestershire." The International Track 200 is sponsored by HSBC and compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events company. Vero has direct offices in the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, USA, Brazil, Netherlands, China, South Korea, Spain and India supplying products to more than 45 countries through its wholly owned subsidiaries and reseller network.
