Seiki Systems has announced a partnership with Tricorn Systems which will see Tricorn integrate Seiki Systems' software with its production control/business management offering.

Seiki Systems is a supplier of advanced software solutions for planning, optimising and managing the manufacturing process. Under this partnership, Tricorn will market and support Seiki System's software under the name 'Tricorn Shopfloor Management' to companies within the manufacturing industry, with an initial focus on providing added-value to their existing customer base. This will extend the current job processing solutions offered by Tricorn by integrating with the full range of Seiki Systems shopfloor communications and machine monitoring software. Tricorn's Job Processing Software, introduced in 1987 and developed in the UK, includes a full suite of integrated modules that provide both management and operational tools, which are particularly suited to sub-contract, KOP, KanBan, made-for-stock and make-to-order manufacturing environments. Designed to improve the efficiency of the total manufacturing process through variance analysis, control of lead times, minimising inventory and work in progress, the Tricorn solution will be enhanced by extending process control and visibility to the shopfloor utilising Seiki System's complete shopfloor system to electronically distribute and collect manufacturing process data. Seiki Systems has over 20 years experience in the development and provision of real time manufacturing systems that provide live production management information and visibility to maintain a controlled and flexible approach to the manufacturing process. John Davis, managing director of Seiki Systems said: "We are delighted to be working with Tricorn to help lead the way in delivering solutions to the UK manufacturing market that will support the business goals of our customers and enable companies to take positive action to remain competitive in a difficult economic climate. By integrating our respective solutions, we are confident that we will be able to deliver cost effective solutions to our growing UK customer base."
