Through-the-lens metrology with OGP at MACH 2010

TTL technology is breaking down conventional barriers to high resolution surface contour measurement. It features a patented interferometric range sensor design, that works by diagnosing the properties of two, or more, light waves and analysing the pattern of the interference created, when overlapped. Among the machines featuring TTL, at MACH 2010, will be the SmartScope Vantage 300, more details in the products section here. The process is supported by OGP's MeasureMind 3D software, which allows fully automatic measurement routines to be programmed, in minutes. The patented SmartRing surface illumination will be featured on all of the OGP models at MACH, vector light gives total control of lighting angles, making it easy to pick out important features for repeatable and accurate optical probing. OGP's Measure X software will feature on the SmartScope CNC 500, a compact, large volume CMM of travel-bridge design with the versatility to measure 3D geometry. Completing the MACH line-up will be a SmartScope Flash 200. With more than 2,000 systems installed worldwide, SmartScope Flash is one of the most popular video and multi-sensor measurement systems available. The Flash 200 at MACH will feature TTL sensor technology with both Measure X and MeasureMind 3D software. It will be demonstrated measuring automotive components. It may be of interest to note, that a SmartScope Flash 200 will also be present on the stand of Unicut Precision (Hall 5, Stand 5171a). Unicut, a leading UK subcontract manufacturer, will be using the Flash 200 to measure a selection of its precision machined components.
