Of particular interest for turning will be WNT’s SOGX inserts, with four useable cutting edges. The inserts are tangentially mounted to ensure high process security, even under extreme cutting conditions, reports the company. This capability is further enhanced by a coolant supply that can be precisely directed and fed from either the rear or side of the tool holder.
SOGX inserts are available in two sizes, 7 and 11 mm, each with a choice of tool-coating options, making them suitable for materials that include steel, non-ferrous metals and titanium.
