The move comes as the firm has seen an increase in the requirement for prototype components that are fit for functional product testing in production intent materials. This increase also includes the need for secondary processes being bought in for effective testing and development.
RP Technologies can now provide these welding services for prototype and low volume production projects thanks to its close partnerships with Machine Techniques (UK) Ltd and Sonics and Materials (UK) Ltd.
The firm says it can advise design engineers on design considerations and types of joint design for both welding processes and make recommendations suited to the customer design and final application requirements.
It can also offer advice on suitable thermoplastic materials as well as leak & strength testing for the welded components to ensure a hermetic seal is achieved.
