Peter Smith appointed regional sales manager (South) for DMG/Mori Seiki (UK)

He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, having successfully operated within the UK machine tool sales market for the last 15 years, latterly specialising in high technology, Japanese machine tool solutions, including done-in-one, automation and turnkey packages. After serving as an engineering apprentice toolmaker at Firth Cleveland Engineering in the West Midlands, Peter later progressed to toolroom supervisor, before moving into capital equipment applications, then sales. He has also worked as a field-based product support manager to a national sales team, alongside area sales manager responsibilities. Peter, 37, lives in Trimpley, Worcestershire, with his wife and two children.
