GF AgieCharmilles, Coventry has reported orders to the value of £800,000 taken during its recent Open House event.
The event, called ‘Productivity Drive’, was held on 10 and 11 September, and managing director Steve Sylvester was clearly pleased with the outcome.
“The ‘Productivity Drive’ Open House results exceeded our expectations and demonstrated once again that our new, ultra-productive machine tool technologies certainly capture the imagination of precision toolmakers and precision component manufacturers alike.
“Over 100 visitors attended the Open House and six machine tools were sold over the two days.” The machine sales were: four EDM machines - including a FI 640 CleanCut, a FORM 350s and a CUT 20; and two machining centres, including a 5-axis UCP 600.
“In addition to the £800,000 of new machine tool business generated – we also took over 25 strong and serious sales leads which are now being actively followed up by our sales team. All in all I’m delighted with the results.”
