NL Machine Tool Consulting has been appointed UK sales agent for the range of tool and cutter grinding machines manufactured by Feinmechanik Michael Deckel.

At this year's, EMO manufacturing technology exhibition, held in Hanover from 16 to 21 September, Michael Deckel (Hall 6, Stand E23) in will exhibit its entire machine range - including machines for producing and resharpening rotationally symmetrical tools, for the manufacture of miniature tools, and for making inserts. The S22 NUM+ tool grinding centre featuring the RC 1900 robotic loading cell is for unmanned high production of tools within a diameter range from 3 to 25 mm. The S20 series for automatic tool grinding and production features the patented Deckel vertical principle and boasts automatic wheel changer, allowing for the machining of complex geometries and special tools in one clamping. Visitors will see a chain loader option that allows for 140 tools, with this now able to be equipped with a double-gripper, further reducing toolchange times. The 5-axis Flexus Invader insert grinding machine has a new direct clamping system, employing the patented vertical principle. Inserts with no holes can be clamped, as can those with one or two. A six-station wheel changer option is now offered for the for the 5-axis Fortis grinder. This supports greater capability than the previous two-wheel system. The manual S11speed unit will be presented with new video measuring equipment, providing magnification from 25 to 170 times.
