New induction brazing service from Flame Hardeners

"After being approached by a potential customer requiring carbide inserts to be brazed to a fabrication, we soon realised that our existing equipment could very easily be adapted to undertake a brazing service," explained Flame Hardeners' managing director, Roger Haw. Following trials, the customer placed an order for 800 units. Follow-up indicated that the customer regarded the finish and quality as significantly better than that previously achieved in its own works, when brazing manually by torch. "Further development work has now been undertaken on other items and the induction brazing service is now offered by Flame Hardeners as a subcontract process," concluded Mr. Haw.
