Keynote speakers at the event will include Mike Wilson, the president of the British Automation and Robot Association, Professor Simon Pearson, who is professor of agri-food technology at the University of Lincoln and a leading expert on robotics in the agriculture and food sectors, and Jeremy Hadall, chief engineer for intelligent automation at the MTC.
Hadall says the MTC is leading the way in the field of industrial robots and automation: "We are giving manufacturers the opportunity to get an insight into the future of automation, and how we can encourage the further adoption of robots in UK industry. Automated manufacturing calls for new skills and that is another issue to be addressed. As well as hearing from experts, delegates will be able to network and hear how others are embarking or progressing on the advanced manufacturing journey.”
During the event, delegates will get the opportunity to see the latest automation equipment in action at the MTC, including metrology-assisted robotics, human-robot interaction and autonomous mobile robotics, as well as hearing real life case studies from a range of industries.
The conference will take place on 26 March at the MTC on Ansty Park, Coventry, starting at 09:00.
