Mitsubishi catalogue now available on MachiningCloud

The tooling catalogue of Mitsubishi Materials (MMC Hardmetal in the UK) is now available on MachiningCloud.

This cloud-hosted offering makes available multiple cutting tool and workholding vendors’ product data in standardised format. The cloud-based platform supports: tool recommendations; building tool assemblies; feeds and speeds; report generation; downloads of 3D models and 2D drawings, plus more, says the company. This web-based system can be accessed on PCs and tablets, but direct integration with CAM systems requires an interface – Esprit, TopSolid, Mastercam and Vericut, for example, have these.

There are currently 15,000 Mitsubishi products, including milling and turning tools, on MachiningCloud with a projected 25,000 more in the coming months.

"Our partnership ensures that customers of Mitsubishi Materials will save a tremendous amount of time, produce improved results by working with up-to-date knowledge and data, and reduce errors by eliminating manual data entry", says Christophe Rogazy, Cloud Evangelist for MachiningCloud.

MachiningCloud has many partners, including Iscar, Kennametal and Siemens, and while Sandvik Coromant is not one of them, Sandvik Group company TDM is.
