Off the back of the company's most successful trading year in 15 years, Matsuura Machinery will hold Open House events between April 16 – 20, April 24 – 26 and May 1 – 3, which will give visitors the first to view of the company's largest 5-axis machine to date – the MAM72-100H.

Already installed at a company involved in F1 parts productions, the MAM72-100H features a 12,000 rpm, BT50 spindle and capacity of 1,000 mm diameter by 770 mm high for parts weighing up to 780 kg. Breakfast and lunch will be served on all days - booking is recommended. The event will be open from 8 am to 8 pm - evening meals and late opening are by appointment. In addition to the MAM72-100H, there'll be a chance to see: • MAM72-42V PC5 – a 5-pallet, 5-axis set-up with models currently installed at leading UK aerospace subcontractors; • MX-520 – Matsuura's single table 5-axis machine, which has been purchased by UK customers big and small throughout 2011. It is said to be ideal for those making the transition to 5-axis machining, or for those seeking a highly accurate stand-alone solution; • H.Plus-630 /Fastems FPC – this is the company's largest current horizontal integrated into a Fastems FPC. A 10-machine/96-pallet cell is installed at a leading British aerospace subcontractor; • MAM72-35V – the company's flagship 5-axis machine, claimed to be the market leader for machines in its class for over a decade. The 32-pallet machine has "proven unmanned running as standard"; • H.Plus-300 PC11 – a 11-pallet horizontal and the company's most popular 4 axis machine with subcontractors; • H.Plus-405 – a twin pallet horizontal, Matsuura global leader in 500mm pallet horizontals. The company's performance in 2011 was, says the company, driven by companies investing in higher specification machine tools from Matsuura, with more companies committing long term to unmanned processing. The company says it is experiencing a sharp acceleration in UK companies seeking cost-down performance throughout their production by investing in automated production – a combination of large expandable pallet pools, tool changers, multi-tasking functionality and reliable unmanned running. And Matsuura is the choice for such companies, it is said, because: Matsuura machines have some of the very best reliability rates in the industry, offering proven low cost of ownership and piece-of-mind-performance for the life of the machine; they are "the clear market leaders for multi-pallet 'lights out' unmanned running; they offer a low finance risk and command the highest prices bar none on the second hand market; they have "some of the most dynamic and impressive spindle utilisation figures in any production environment, machining any material"; Matsuura Machines invests year on year in our UK facility and staff, with lifetime customer support put at the heart of its business ethos; and the company builds long-term relationships with its customers. Supporting companies will also be present, including leading swarf management, tooling, workholding and software companies.
