MACH 2014 - New Aqua-Save website explains benefits of water recycling technology

1 min read

MecWash will highlight its website for its wash water recycling operating division, Aqua-Save Technologies, on Stand 5471, Hall 5 at MACH 2014 (7-11 April, Birmingham NEC).

Aqua-Save was established in 2006 to help maintain wash machine water quality and to solve the issue of disposing of industrial waste water - from both a production and environmental point of view. The systems have been developed for the treatment and recycling of industrial waste water, including wash water from parts cleaning equipment, dye penetrant and waste coolant from metalworking operations. The new website has provides customers with all of the details they may need to make an informed decision about Aqua-Save's products and services - including details of government funding available that enables businesses to write off 100% of the cost of qualifying plant and machinery against taxable profits in the year of purchase. Aqua-Save units that reuse more than 40% of the recovered waste water are eligible for the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme. ECA offers a 100% first-year allowance for investments in certain water efficient plant and machinery. Effluent can be reduced to under 5% of the original volume, and costs of more than £10,000/annum can be saved by using an Aqua-Save system. Both wash water and waste coolant cost saving calculators have been included on the new site to provide customers with an idea of how much they could save, and it also includes a number of case studies outlining how Aqua-Save systems are used. Aqua-Save machines can be fitted to any aqueous cleaning machines to effectively separate the coolant and other dissolved/emulsified contaminants (removed from components during the cleaning process) from the water; enabling the cleaned water to be returned to the process or to be reused elsewhere and vastly reducing the volume and cost of waste disposal.
