Low-cost auto-loading for ANCA cylindrical grinding machines

1 min read

ANCA has released a revolutionary new loading system for its CNC grinding machines.

The CLX compact loader is designed to meet strict space and budget specifications and is fully-contained within the existing machine canopy. The new system now makes viable automatic loading of low-volume production runs for those who cannot justify more complex systems. The loader arm is fixed to the machine column and the pallet attached to the machine z-axis saddle. As the system is installed in an existing vacant area at the back of the grinder, no other functions are impaired and significant cost and space is saved. Once the loader arm swings down into position it remains stationary. Movement of the machine axes completes the load and unload sequences by bringing the headstock and pallet to meet the gripper fingers. By using the machine axes, the cost of the CLX has been kept minimal and is therefore an attractive proposition for budget-conscious companies. The CLX can handle round shank tools, woodworking profile blades and tooling inserts. Sliding panels at the back of the machine provide operator access to load and unload the pallets once the batch run is finished. CLX can be specified on RX7, GX7 and WGX machines or retro-fitted to certain installed machines.
