Kaltenbach to offer Zinser profiling machine range

Bedford-based Kaltenbach is to offer the Zinser range of oxy-fuel, plasma and fibre laser plate cutting equipment in the UK.

Established in 1898, German company Zinser designs and manufactures a wide array of machines that are employed globally. Models extend from basic, 1 by 1 m oxy-fuel machines through to multi-torch systems up to 6 by 12 m capacity and even larger, with a combination of both plasma and oxy-fuel torches. Zinser will adapt base machines to suit specific customer requirements, in terms of process and capacity, supporting a broad portfolio of industry applications and employing latest process technologies. Plasma cutting, in particular, takes advantage of the latest industry innovations for both hole production and bevelling, virtually eliminating the costly development stages of the processes that many customers normally need to work through. For customers requiring speed, cut quality or the ability to cut alternate materials such as stainless steels, Zinser offers latest technological solutions. Complementary features include digital copy systems for smaller machines, rotary heads for the processing of both round and rectangular hollow sections up to 1,000 mm diameter, material marking systems and CNC drilling with automatic toolchange for the production of holes via either HSS or carbide tooling. Controls are via Zinsers' own CNC control systems for programming, machine operation, plate layout and piece nesting via intuitive and simple to operate user interfaces, with a customisable library of part designs, permitting the shortest possible time between initial design and actual production. Says Kaltenbach managing director Barry Rooney: "Zinsers' product range integrates perfectly with that of Kaltenbach's and provides our customers with an even greater range of machinery solutions and high quality, leading-edge technologies. Zinser has the same dedication to quality, customer focus, process capability and service support as Kaltenbach, and with the first order for a new system already received, we are delighted to be able to offer its products into the UK industry."
