Hexagon Metrology will focus on some of its new technology on stand 5540, at MACH 2010. In particular the Leica Absolute Tracker AT401, Optiv measuring systems, the Romer Absolute Arm and the Leitz Reference co-ordinate measuring machine series.

The Leica Absolute Tracker AT401 is a highly accurate portable CMM for 3D measurements over long ranges. It is claimed to be the first battery-operated laser tracker designed for cable-less operation. The tracker is IP54 certified and enhanced features such as PowerLock and Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) make it particularly easy to use. More details in the products section, here. Hexagon Metrology is introducing a wide range of vision and multi-sensor measuring systems to the market under the Optiv label. Five series are available, from the basic model to a high-performance instrument for measurements on the nano-scale. The ROMER Absolute Arm is said to be the first portable measuring arm with absolute encoders, allowing it to attain high levels of speed and productivity when taking 3D measurements.
