DMG takes record orders at EMO - breaks €200 million barrier

With a massive presence at the biennial EMO manufacturing technology exhibition held in Hanover, Germany, from 19 to 24 September, DMG broke the €200 million order intake barrier.

DMG and its increasingly close partner Mori Seiki took over the entire hall two at the showground, exhibiting almost 100 machine tools, including nine new releases from Mori Seiki and 13 from DMG. DMG released its news on the Monday following the show, saying it had taken orders for 847 machine tools with a value of € 207.6 million. This result was "the most successful EMO of all time for Gildemeister [DMG is Gildemeister's sales and service arm], with the highest order intake at a trade fair in the company's history". Furthermore, Gildemeister says that 5,746 follow-up offers could be triggered as a result of EMO, building the basis for a successful order intake within the next months.
