Comau has been named a partner company of ‘MADE’, the newly established Milan Competence Centre for Industry 4.0, which is being spearheaded by the Polytechnic of Milan. A representative of Comau has been appointed as a member of the MADE board of directors.

MADE is a public-private organisation formed by 39 partners from the business and academic world, which aims to provide businesses – in particular SMEs – with three specific services: orientation, training and support for the implementation of innovation projects for Industry 4.0. Thus, MADE is a specialist innovation centre organised within the National Industry 4.0 Plan, promoted and co-funded by MISE (Italian Ministry of Economic Development).

“Participation in MADE demonstrates Comau's commitment to innovation and in the implementation of projects capable of contributing to the development of our country's industrial system,” says Mauro Fenzi, CEO of Comau. “By making our expertise, technologies and advanced processes for Industry 4.0 available, we aim to support companies in the adoption of production processes and tools that enable smart factories in an increasingly incisive manner.”

Comau will support MADE by providing products that include the MATE exoskeleton, traditional industrial robots and collaborative robots (such as AURA), the autonomous driving vehicle Agile1500, and the e.DO educational robot. These technologies will be accompanied by the know-how of Comau experts, who will deliver guidance, training and operational support services to companies.
