WNT (UK) reports record turnover for December 2008, with sales 3 per cent higher than previously recorded in the last month of the year.

“The positive response from our customers to a series of marketing initiatives has ensured that we ended 2008 on a very positive note,” said Tony Pennington, managing director, WNT (UK). “To achieve a 3 per cent increase over the best December sales figures in the company’s history at a time of economic uncertainty has fully justified our investment in promotions such as those focusing on our milling cutter bodies and our extended opening hours.” “In listening to our customers we are aware that they are being pressured by their customers for cost savings,” Mr Pennington added. “Therefore, we are keen to ensure that we deliver high quality, value for money, cutting tools while maintaining a level of service and support that is a major factor in customers returning time and again to buy from WNT. Early indications show that the optimism shown by our customers during December is continuing with January sales figures running above average.” WNT (UK)’s initiatives include a £1.50/mm offer on milling cutter bodies and £10.00 cashback if WNT (UK) fails to meet its delivery promise. It recently extended its opening hours to include Saturday mornings for sales and technical support. As a result, customers can now order up to 12:30 pm on Saturday and be guaranteed delivery by 9 am Monday morning, with all orders over £50.00 being delivered free of charge.
