As a flagship facility for advanced apprenticeships, trainees attending the AMTC learn the latest technology in areas such as automation, metrology and advanced manufacture. Apprentices also get the opportunity to test and develop their skills with partner employers.
Paul Rowlett, managing director of the AMTC, says: "Our purpose is to seed the manufacturing sector with a pipeline of capable engineering technicians. Employers can maximise their levy spend with our programmes, giving a genuine return on investment while ensuring they become increasingly competitive on the global stage. Our open event will give potential apprentices the chance to learn everything they need about the programmes."
The apprentice open evening will be held on 6 December between 17:00 and 19:30, and pupils, parents, careers advisors, teachers and college staff are all welcome.
