Tornos UK will be holding an Open House at its Coalville facility from 11 to 13 of October, to introduce a range of new turning innovations that will have been launched at the EMO exhibition this month.

The theme of the event will be one-hit machining and the reduction of bar-end waste. Tornos will be demonstrating its expertise in these areas by introducing to the UK for the first time the new EvoDeco 10, Sigma 32 and the 5-axis Delta 38 turning centres. This will be the first opportunity for UK customers to view the EvoDeco 10a turning centre, a 10 mm, 10-axis machine offering improved tooling flexibility, power and torque, with an additional Y-axis as standard. Another UK premiere will be the Delta 38/5, a 38 mm capacity machine with 5 axes and a 11KW spindle featuring Tornos' unique guide bush design to minimise bar remnants. Also receiving its UK introduction will be the Sigma 32. Regarded as the only Swiss-type sliding headstock machine capable of producing parts using the parameters of a fixed headstock machine, the Sigma 32 has a heavy duty construction for main and counter-operations.
